Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Normal Saline Solution, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous preparation of sodium chloride. It is indicated for infusion to restore fluid and electrolyte balance in patients. This equal concentration solution has a pH of around 6.5-7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).

Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, can be administered intravenously into a vein, or subcutaneously. It is commonly used in medical settings for correcting dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and other medical conditions.

Osmolar Solutions 20%

Mannitol Injection, USP 20%, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of mannitol. It is administered subcutaneously to increase urine output . The solution is hyperosmotic and exerts its effects by drawing fluids from the intracellular space into the vascular space. This elevates plasma osmolality, which here in turn reduces edema formation.

• Oftentimes used for treating conditions such as: glaucoma, cerebral edema, and oliguria.
